Islamabad: The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan has announced the suspension of all judicial proceedings at its Principal Seat in Islamabad on April 23, 2026, due to the closure of the Red Zone. This move is aimed at mitigating the anticipated challenges for lawyers, litigants, and court officials.
According to Press Information Department, the decision means that no hearings will take place on the specified date, and the cause list has been cancelled. Despite the suspension, the court’s officers and staff are expected to continue their duties remotely and have been instructed to remain at their respective stations. Meanwhile, all four Branch Registries of the Court will stay operational to manage judicial and administrative tasks.
