Karachi: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has inaugurated a new PRAL’s Front Desk at the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) in Karachi, aimed at improving tax services for the local business community. This development follows directives from the Prime Minister of Pakistan and requests from Karachi’s business sector, with the facility becoming operational on June 5, 2026.
According to Press Information Department, the front desk, manned by a specialized team from Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd. (PRAL) and equipped with advanced IT infrastructure, is designed to function as a dedicated facilitation center. It will offer on-site technical support and address issues related to various digital tax services, including IRIS, e-filing, registration, online tax payments, and sales tax matters.
This initiative is part of FBR’s broader strategy to enhance taxpayer support, streamline service delivery, and promote voluntary compliance through improved access to digital tax systems. The establishment of the front desk underscores the government’s commitment to utilizing technology for a more effective and transparent tax administration.
