Fatal Road Accidents Claim 13 Lives in Karak and Sheikhupura

Karak: A series of road accidents in Pakistan has resulted in the death of 13 people and injured several others, authorities reported. The incidents occurred in Karak and Sheikhupura, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.

In Karak, a devastating collision between a truck and a passenger van on the main highway resulted in the deaths of 10 individuals, with eight others sustaining injuries. Rescue 1122, the emergency response service, swiftly responded to the scene with five ambulances. The deceased and injured were transported to the hospital, while passengers trapped inside the van were successfully rescued. Many of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

In a separate incident on Lahore Road in Sheikhupura, a dumper collided with a rickshaw, killing three passengers instantly. According to Rescue 1122, three injured individuals are receiving treatment at the DHQ hospital in Sheikhupura, where they remain in critical condition. The driver of the dumper fled the scene following the accident.

These incidents underscore the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures in the country, as authorities continue to address the challenges posed by traffic accidents.
