Islamabad: A conference commemorating Defence Day of Pakistan was attended by Farah Naz Akbar, a Member of the National Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture, who emphasized the historical importance of September 6 as a day demonstrating the unity and patriotism of the nation.

According to Press Information Department, Farah Naz Akbar, who also serves as the President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Women Wing Islamabad, spoke at the event organized by the All Pakistan Media Council. She paid tribute to the soldiers, martyrs, and veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces, recognizing their sacrifices for the country’s defense and highlighting their enduring legacy in national memory.

Akbar underscored that the defense of Pakistan extends beyond its borders, involving national unity, economic strength, education, culture, and the protection of national values. She called for educating the younger generation about Pakistan’s history and national heroes to foster a spirit of patriotism and responsibility.

She also praised the media’s role in promoting national awareness and commended the All Pakistan Media Council for organizing the conference. Akbar urged the nation to renew its commitment to Pakistan’s development and security, while honoring the sacrifices made by its martyrs.
