EU Delegation Discusses Human Rights Initiatives in Pakistan

Islamabad: A delegation from the European Union, led by Ambassador Olof Skoog and Ambassador Dr. Riina Kionka, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law, Justice, and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, to review ongoing human rights initiatives in the country. Both parties expressed appreciation for the constructive dialogue and pledged to continue their collaboration on human rights and social justice efforts.

According to a statement by Ministry of Human Rights, the meeting underscored the importance of maintaining a cooperative relationship between the European Union and Pakistan in the realm of human rights. The discussions focused on identifying and addressing key challenges and opportunities in promoting human rights within Pakistan.

Ambassador Skoog, the EU Special Representative for Human Rights, emphasized the significance of sustained engagement and dialogue to ensure progress in human rights matters.
