Islamabad, January 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police apprehended eight outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Noon police team arrested an accused namely Ghulam Khaliq and recovered a 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Likewise, the Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Sibtain involved in illegal gas filling. Banigala police team arrested an accused namely Qais Khan involved in drug paddling and recovered 1230 gram hashish from his possession.
Similarly, the Bara Kahu police team arrested an accused namely Saleem Abbas involved in drug paddling and recovered 3720 gram hashish from his possession. Sihala police teams arrested an accused namely Rehman Ud Deen and recovered a 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Moreover, the Lohi Bhair Police team arrested an accused namely Snobar Khan and recovered 10 liter alcohol from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders, a police team arrested one proclaimed offender. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug paddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
