Eight Islamic Nations Condemn Israeli Actions Over Jerusalem Holy Sites

Islamabad: Eight Islamic countries, including Pakistan, have issued a strong condemnation of what they describe as repeated violations by Israeli authorities concerning historic Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Türkiye, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates released a joint statement criticizing the ongoing incursions by Israeli settlers and extremist ministers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif. The statement highlighted the raising of the Israeli flag within the courtyards of these sites as particularly provocative.

The Foreign Ministers asserted that these actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif violate international law and international humanitarian law, posing an unacceptable provocation to Muslims worldwide. Additionally, they condemned the escalating violence by settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including recent attacks targeting Palestinian schools and children, urging accountability for those responsible.
