Karachi: Eight Iranian fishermen who were rescued at sea have been repatriated from Karachi to Iran, according to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. The fishermen were rescued by the British vessel MMA Valour after their boat ran aground.
According to Radio Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced on social media platform X that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, along with relevant authorities, coordinated with both Iranian and UK officials to ensure the safe transit and prompt return of the fishermen to their homeland. The successful repatriation took place this morning.
