Srinagar: The Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar has scheduled Eid-ul-Fitr prayers to be held at the historic Eidgah in Srinagar at 10:00 AM, following the sighting of the Shawwal moon.

The announcement, carried by Kashmir Media Service, stated that Anjuman Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will deliver the Eid sermon at 9:00 AM, preceding the congregational prayers.

The Auqaf has appealed to authorities to ensure a smooth conduct of the prayers, without the impediments observed during Laylatul Qadr and Jumat-ul-Vida, emphasizing the importance of respecting the religious rights of the Kashmiri people.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has personally inspected the arrangements and the conditions at the Eidgah to ensure readiness for the event.
