Lahore: A three-day meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) commenced in Lahore on Sunday, drawing significant diplomatic attention to the city.

ECO Secretary General Asad Majeed Khan, accompanied by his delegation, is participating in the sessions. Upon their arrival, a contingent of Punjab Police extended a guard of honor, setting a formal tone for the proceedings.

The delegation comprises ambassadors from Iran, Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, highlighting the meeting’s regional importance.
