ECC Approves Substantial Grants and Sectoral Support Measures


Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, convened at the Finance Division, approving several technical supplementary grants (TSGs) and sectoral support measures aimed at enhancing various governmental projects and initiatives.



According to Press Information Department, notable approvals included two summaries from the Ministry of Defence, sanctioning Rs. 1.289 billion for Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq Celebrations 2025, and Rs. 2 billion for the Marka-e-Haq Monument Project in Islamabad. Additionally, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication secured Rs. 4.5 billion for the completion of Phase-II of the Pakistan Asan Khidmat Centre and re-appropriated Rs. 911.2 million to the Smart Islamabad Initiative. Other significant approvals involved TSGs for various ministries, including support for Pakistan Steel Mills, a Vessel Monitoring System for fishing boats, and an extension of sovereign guarantees for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.
