Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in discussions with the Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi, focusing on Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States.
According to Radio Pakistan, the leaders exchanged views on regional developments and emphasized Pakistan’s efforts to mediate between Iran and the United States. The objective of these efforts is the promotion of sustained peace and stability in the region. Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s mediation efforts, highlighting the need for a durable ceasefire and safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
The discussions also covered upcoming high-level exchanges and events marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. Both sides agreed on the importance of maintaining communication on bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
