Muzaffargarh: The Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, conducted an inspection of the PDMA warehouse in Muzaffargarh, assessing the preparedness and quality of the relief materials and equipment stored there. The visit aimed to ensure the readiness of resources to effectively respond to emergencies.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, during his visit, Mr. Jappa evaluated the availability, quality, and storage arrangements of the relief materials. He also assessed the functionality of the machinery and equipment intended for emergency use and received briefings from relevant officers. Mr. Jappa emphasized the importance of having all relief materials ready at all times to ensure a prompt response to any potential emergency. He mentioned that under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, efforts are underway to enhance the capacity of disaster management institutions across the province for timely public relief during natural disasters and other emergencies.
He instructed departments to remain vigilant, particularly during the monsoon season, and to ensure effective communication and necessary arrangements to provide timely public assistance. The PDMA spokesperson urged citizens to contact the PDMA helpline 1129 for immediate support and guidance during emergencies or natural disasters.
