Islamabad, June 19, 2021 (PPI-OT):Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Afzaal Ahmed Kousar has asked the officers concerned to ensure protection of life and property of the citizens. DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kousar chaired a meeting to review crime in the capital city. SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer, Additional SP Islamabad Farhat Abbas Kazmi, SPs, SDPOs, ASP AVLC and others attended the meeting, according to the officials.

The DIG discussed the performance of every officer and told them that as per the vision of the IG Islamabad Police, Qazi Jamilur Rehman, they are duty bound to protect the life and property of the citizens. He asked the concerned to constitute special squads to arrest the proclaimed offenders. He asked the concerned to take special steps to check vehicle lifting in their respective areas. He also asked them to ensure arrest of vehicle lifters. The DIG also asked the police officers to ensure accountability of their subordinates. He warned the officers that no innocent should face any problem.
