DIG Islamabad Chairs Meeting to Enhance Capital’s Security Measures


Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Ali Waseem convened a virtual meeting to assess the law and order situation in the capital, instructing officers to bolster security measures, intensify field policing, and take decisive action against criminal activities.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, conducted via Zoom, included senior officials such as SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, SSP Security/Operations, zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs. Discussions covered the current law and order status, security protocols at key locations, crime prevention strategies, and actions against criminal elements.



DIG Waseem emphasized the utilization of all resources to safeguard citizens’ lives and property. Instructions were given to focus on effective surveillance of critical areas, increase patrolling, and monitor suspicious individuals and vehicles. Officers were directed to personally assess security arrangements in their respective areas, address any deficiencies, and maintain close coordination with field teams to ensure rapid response to any incidents.
