Islamabad: DG Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya has instructed the Safe City Islamabad team to leverage modern technology to enhance public safety and response times. During a meeting chaired by Joya, which included SP Safe City/Capital Patrol Awais Ali Khan, the IT team, and the in-charge of the Police Operations Hall, detailed discussions took place on improving the efficiency of the real-time monitoring system from the Police Operations Hall.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting focused on upgrading police response times to emergency calls received through the Pucar-15 helpline. It was also emphasized that call takers at the emergency helpline require modern training to handle situations effectively. The DG Safe City emphasized the need for technological integration to protect citizens’ lives and property and to provide immediate responses to public complaints.
Joya reiterated that the goal of the Safe City initiative extends beyond creating a secure environment; it aims to deliver immediate relief to citizens by further integrating surveillance and response mechanisms. He highlighted that the Islamabad Police are committed to ensuring the safety of citizens and encouraged the public to promptly report any suspicious activities via the Pucar-15 helpline or the One Info App.
