DG Safe City/DIG Traffic in Islamabad Devises Eid Traffic Plan

ISLAMABAD: Director General Safe City and DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya convened a meeting with traffic police officers to discuss and strategize traffic management during the upcoming festive days. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, which took place at Safe City Islamabad, included Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Hamza Humayun, SP Traffic Majid Iqbal, and zonal DSPs.

The meeting acknowledged the efforts of traffic police officers during Ramadan and outlined a comprehensive plan to facilitate smooth traffic flow on Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr. This initiative aims to ensure citizens in Islamabad can travel with ease during these significant days.

During the discussion, DG Safe City/DIG Traffic emphasized taking strict measures against traffic violations such as one-wheeling and wrong-way driving during the festivities. Instructions were given to maintain seamless traffic flow during Eid prayers and to prevent congestion near recreational venues.

The meeting also highlighted the need for maximum deployment of traffic police officers throughout Eid to ensure effective traffic management. Safe City cameras will be employed to monitor traffic situations and assist officers in addressing violations efficiently, thereby minimizing inconvenience to citizens.
