Deputy Speaker Directs Completion of 104 Family Suites at Parliament Lodges

Islamabad: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee on House and Library, focusing on the timely completion of 104 additional family suites at the Parliament Lodges.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the committee meeting reviewed the progress of the construction and addressed issues regarding the management and upkeep of the Parliament Lodges. Senior officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) provided updates, assuring that the family suites would be completed by June 2026. Deputy Speaker Shah emphasized the need for ensuring public funds are used efficiently, maintaining construction standards, and adhering to the project timeline.

The committee highlighted the necessity for improved management and maintenance of the lodges to foster a secure and suitable environment for residents. Members stressed enhancing administrative arrangements and providing essential facilities.

Security measures, including the installation of CCTV cameras at the MNA Hostel, were also discussed. The committee underscored the importance of bolstering security and surveillance for resident and visitor safety.

The meeting concluded with directives for the timely project completion and maintaining high standards across all construction, management, and security facets. Attendees included MNAs Mr. Nabeel Gabol, Pir Fazal Shah, Ms. Tahira Aurangzeb, Mr. Moeen Aamir Pirzada, Ms. Zainab Mahmood Baloch, Syed Aamna Batool, and Ms. Shaista Parvez.
