Deputy Prime Minister Urges Media to Rely on Official Statements Amid Iran-US Talks

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has called on media outlets to focus on official statements and avoid speculative reporting as Pakistan plays a role in facilitating talks between Iran and the United States aimed at achieving regional peace and stability.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dar, while chairing a meeting in Islamabad, emphasized that Pakistan is committed to its efforts in supporting the dialogue process between Iran and the United States. He reiterated that official policy statements regarding this facilitation process are only those issued by authorized sources. The Deputy Prime Minister further clarified that any information attributed to unnamed Pakistani officials or sources does not represent the official stance of Pakistan.

Dar’s appeal to media entities comes amidst ongoing discussions in the region. He advised both print and electronic media practitioners to rely solely on statements from official channels to ensure accurate reporting.
