Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar led a meeting in Islamabad with senior Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials to assess the progress of the recently announced austerity measures. The meeting focused on ensuring fiscal discipline and the prudent use of public resources in line with the government’s economic responsibility goals.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dar highlighted the importance of efficient administrative practices and the necessity of restricting expenditures to essential commitments. He instructed officials to pinpoint areas where costs could be reduced without hindering Pakistan’s diplomatic and consular services.
Dar reiterated his full support for the government’s austerity efforts, emphasizing the Ministry’s dedication to responsible governance, transparency, and the efficient use of public funds, all while maintaining the country’s foreign policy objectives.
