ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed his approval of the growing cooperation between Pakistan and the United States, underscoring an expansion of engagement across various fields. This was highlighted during a meeting with Paul Kapur, the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions covered bilateral relations and regional developments, with both parties exchanging views on these topics. Dar expressed satisfaction with the current momentum in relations between the two countries and appreciated the efforts of US leadership, including President Donald Trump’s vision for peace and the recent Iran-US ceasefire understanding.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of regular high-level exchanges and sustained structured dialogue. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy. Paul Kapur, representing the US, acknowledged Pakistan’s role in regional mediation and noted the positive trajectory of bilateral relations.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to further strengthen collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, and development.
