Shanghai: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Shanghai for a two-day official visit to China. During this visit, he is set to participate in significant events, including the signing ceremony for the Agreement on the Establishment of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), where he will sign the Agreement on behalf of Pakistan as a founding member.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister will also take part in the opening ceremony of the 2026 World AI Conference, scheduled for tomorrow. In addition to these engagements, he plans to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts during his stay.
Upon his arrival at the airport, Deputy Prime Minister Dar was greeted by Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Wu Wei. Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires to China, Aizaz Khan, and Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai, Shahzad Ahmad Khan, were also present to welcome the delegation.
