Deputy Prime Minister and Saudi Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Developments


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in a telephonic conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud to express condolences following a tragic helicopter crash in Ras Tanura, which claimed 14 lives. The discussion also covered recent regional developments and concerns.



According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar extended his condolences on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Government, and the people of Pakistan. Prince Faisal expressed gratitude for the brotherly gesture from Pakistan.



The conversation included an in-depth discussion about the evolving situation in the region. Both leaders shared concerns and emphasized the importance of peace. Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to fostering regional peace, as outlined in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.



Prince Faisal conveyed his intention to visit Pakistan at the earliest opportunity, pending mutually convenient dates. Ishaq Dar welcomed the proposed visit and expressed hope that it would take place soon.
