Mashad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar signed the Charter of the ECO Clean Energy Center on Tuesday during the 28th Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers. The charter aims to advance research and development in innovative renewable energy sources, emphasizing regional collaboration to address climate change.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the charter is expected to play a crucial role in facilitating a transition to sustainable energy across the region. It aims to bridge gaps in regional cooperation, thereby contributing to a broader effort within the UN’s Sustainable Energy for All Initiative. The initiative seeks to integrate the ECO Clean Energy Center into the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centers, enhancing the collective capacity to tackle global energy challenges.
