Deputy Mayor of Karachi Highlights Youth Engagement in Civic Affairs

KARACHI: Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad emphasized the importance of youth involvement in civic matters as a critical factor for the city’s development, while outlining the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) efforts to offer modern amenities. He highlighted the significance of integrating educational institutions with municipal bodies to better guide future generations. According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Murad made these remarks during a meeting with students from the Millennium Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship (MITE) after their visit to the KMC Head Office.

During the session, students received insights into the historical evolution of KMC and the initiatives undertaken by the current leadership to foster Karachi’s growth. Murad underscored the role of youth in enhancing decision-making processes and leveraging their innovative thinking for the city’s progress. He further elaborated on the Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment to positioning youth at the forefront of development efforts.
