Deputy Chairman Senate Urges Swift Action on Housing Program


Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syedaal Khan, has advocated for the expedited implementation of the “Wazir e Azam Apna Ghar Program” to meet the country’s housing needs. According to Senate of Pakistan, during an important meeting with the Secretary Housing and Works, Khan emphasized the crucial role of affordable housing as a public necessity and called for practical measures to ensure ordinary citizens can secure homes swiftly.



Khan underscored the importance of transparency, efficiency, and merit in the housing allotment process, urging that unnecessary delays be avoided to help middle-income families access housing without undue hardship. He also highlighted the need for timely completion of ongoing housing projects, noting that accelerated progress would not only address residential requirements but also stimulate economic activity and job creation.



The meeting included a briefing from the Secretary Housing and Works on the current status of housing projects and future plans to improve housing facilities nationwide. Proposals to enhance coordination between relevant departments were reviewed to guarantee the swift implementation of public welfare initiatives. Khan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the interests of the people through transparent and efficient completion of housing projects.
