Jammu, November 21, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairperson of Ramban District Development Council, Shamshad Shan has warned of protests if the authorities do not hand over the body of Amir Magray, the third civilian killed in the Hyderpora staged encounter. Shamshad Shan talking to reporters in Ramban said, “We are not disappointed and are awaiting the Lt Governor’s decision. But in case he does not take a decision, the situation will compel us to go for protests.”
Bodies of Altaf Ahmad Butt and Mudasir Gul, two civilians killed in the Hyderpora staged encounter, were handed over to their kin on Thursday night after they were exhumed following protests by family members. Police had initially buried them in the Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. After the bodies of two civilians killed in the Hyderpora encounter were returned to their families, the chorus for handing over the mortal remains of Amir Magray grew louder.
