Islamabad: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad, has intensified its anti-smuggling operations, seizing contraband valued at over PKR 915.5 million in July 2026. The operations, which targeted organized smuggling networks, reflect a commitment to protecting legitimate trade and the national economy.

According to Press Information Department, the successful operations were conducted under the supervision of senior Customs Enforcement officials. Utilizing credible intelligence and coordinated strategies, the teams intercepted and seized 24 high-value smuggled vehicles and a significant amount of foreign-origin goods, including cigarettes, cosmetics, and tyres. The seized vehicles featured brands such as Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and Range Rover.

In addition to vehicles, enforcement teams confiscated 121,250 sleeves of foreign-brand cigarettes and twelve vehicles used for their transport. The total value of the seized contraband underscores a substantial disruption to illicit supply chains and a financial blow to smuggling syndicates.
