Islamabad: The Chief Traffic Officer of Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, convened a meeting to evaluate traffic management and road safety strategies in the city. The meeting aimed to assess the performance of zonal officers and ensure the effective enforcement of traffic laws.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, SP Traffic Majid Iqbal, all Zonal DSPs, and other police officers attended the meeting. Discussions were held on improving traffic flow, addressing public concerns, and enhancing traffic discipline. The meeting also focused on reviewing public facilitation services and road safety measures.
CTO Virk emphasized the importance of using all available resources to maintain smooth traffic flow across the federal capital. He highlighted the need for strict enforcement of traffic laws and increasing road safety awareness among citizens to reduce traffic accidents.
The officers were instructed to manage traffic effectively during peak hours and special events while prioritizing accident prevention and timely assistance for road users. CTO Virk also urged the police force to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor towards the public, promoting community-oriented policing to ensure a safe and organized travel environment.
