CTO Islamabad Awards Officers for Ensuring Smooth Traffic Flow

Islamabad: The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, has acknowledged the commendable efforts of the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) officers for their effective performance in ensuring a smooth traffic flow in the city. In a move to recognize their dedication, officers were awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the initiative was taken following special directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The ITP has been working diligently to not only maintain orderly traffic but also to provide guidance and assistance to citizens. The CTO emphasized the importance of enforcing traffic laws to reduce accidents and instructed officers to coordinate with their teams and take strict legal actions against violators.

The CTO highlighted the commitment of the officers, driven by a spirit of service, to public convenience and safety. Efforts are being enhanced to make Islamabad safer from traffic accidents and ensure uninterrupted traffic flow. Additionally, the ITP’s education teams are actively present at various intersections to raise awareness about traffic rules and road safety among the public.

In an effort to keep the public informed, the Islamabad Traffic Police is also providing updates on road safety, traffic regulations, and real-time traffic conditions through FM Radio 92.4.
