CRPF Personnel Found Dead in Apparent Suicide in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was found deceased in what appears to be a case of suicide at a CRPF barracks in Madhya Pradesh, India, prompting concern over the mental well-being of security forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, 35-year-old Kailash Chandra Mehra of the CRPF’s 190 battalion was discovered in a distressing state by his colleagues in Chatra town. After Mehra was missing for an unusual period, his fellow officers found his room locked from the inside. Looking through the window, they encountered the tragic scene of Mehra hanging from the ceiling fan. A CRPF medical officer was called to the scene and pronounced Mehra dead upon examination. The incident was subsequently reported to the battalion’s Commandant, Ram Bhros Kumar.

This event is the second instance of suicide among CRPF personnel in the region in recent months, raising alarm about the psychological stress and challenges faced by members of the Indian paramilitary forces.
