COVID-19 no more death, infects 180 others 

Karachi, December 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):Fortunately, no death stemming from Coronavirus reported yesterday, however 180 new cases emerged when 14,015 tests were conducted. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here from CM House on Thursday. Mr Shah said that fortunately no death was reported in 24 Hours. He added that till last Monday the number death and was 7,658.

Mr. Shah said that 14,015 samples were tested which detected 180 cases that constituted 1.3 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 7,025,476 tests have been conducted against which 478,736 cases were diagnosed, of them 97.4 percent or 466,531 patients have recovered, including 62 overnight. The CM said that currently 4,747 patients were under treatment, of them 4,576 were in home isolation, 28 at isolation centres and 143 at different hospitals. He added that the condition of 134 patients was stated to be critical, including 15 shifted to ventilators.

According to the statement, out of 180 new cases, 53 have been detected from Karachi, including 24 from South, 24 East, West four and one from Central. Hyderabad has 15, Thatta 13, Naushero Feroze and Sujawal 12 each, Jamshoro, Matiari and Shaheed Benazirabad 11 each, Mirpurkhas seven, Larkana six, Sanghar and Tharparkar four each, Badin, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan and Umerkot three each, Ghotki two and Shikarpur one.

Vaccination: Sharing vaccination data the CM said that 27,512,255 vaccinations have been administered upto December 21st, and added during the last 24 hours 198,777 vaccines were inoculated – in total 27,711,032 vaccines have administered which constituted 50.35 percent of the vaccine eligible population. The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
