Dubai: H.E. Hussain Muhammad, the Consul General of Pakistan, met with the new Board of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai at the Consulate General of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of strengthening trade and investment ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, Mr. Shabbir Merchant, Chairman of the PBC, introduced the newly inducted members and presented the council’s strategic roadmap for 2025-2026. Mr. Merchant highlighted the council’s aim to enhance collaboration between the two nations through trade, investment, and cultural exchanges.
H.E. Hussain Muhammad congratulated the new board members and acknowledged the PBC’s efforts to promote Pakistan’s economic potential in the UAE. He urged the council to take significant steps to increase bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
The Consul General emphasized the potential for investment in Pakistan’s sectors such as IT, manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism. He pointed to the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) as a key initiative for facilitating investors.
The meeting was attended by Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor, along with other senior officials of the Consulate and PBC members. The Consul General reassured the council of the Consulate’s support in fostering a stronger Pakistan-UAE relationship.
