Kigali: In a coordinated effort facilitated by Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Rwanda, Naeemullah Khan, Rwandan authorities have granted entry to approximately 150 Pakistanis who were left stranded in the city of Goma amidst the growing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, around 75 of these Pakistanis have successfully crossed into Rwanda. The Pakistan High Commission in Kigali has taken measures to provide accommodation and food for those affected. In addition, the High Commission is actively reaching out to the Pakistani community to locate and assist any other citizens who may be in distress.
The High Commission staff is maintaining contact with individuals who have requested assistance. Efforts are also being made to connect with Pakistanis in Bukavu, another border city affected by the unrest.
