COMSATS Collaborates with ANSO and UCAS to Launch International Training on AI and Climate Change

Beijing: A comprehensive eight-week online training program focusing on artificial intelligence, engineering, and climate change commenced today, organized by COMSATS in collaboration with the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations (ANSO) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). The initiative aims to address critical issues in sustainable development through a global exchange of knowledge and expertise.

According to the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South, the program is part of the 11th Term of the ANSO-BIDI School, supported by the ANSO Belt and Road International Innovation Development Institute Network. This term involves 50 trainees from various countries, including China, Iran, Jordan, and Nigeria, nominated by COMSATS. The Executive Director of COMSATS, Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, highlighted the program’s role as a beneficial forum for learning during his remarks at the opening ceremony.

The training covers key thematic areas such as eco-environment, climate change, AI and computer engineering, and sustainable supply chains. Experts from leading institutions worldwide, including those from the USA, Canada, and Germany, will provide instruction. This initiative is part of COMSATS’ broader strategic focus on high-impact fields like AI, telehealth, and renewable energy, aiming to foster sustainable development through capacity-building and technology exchange.
