LAHORE: A Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, led by Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Shoaib Mirza, conducted an unexpected review of Dr Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital in Sargodha, uncovering malfunctioning equipment and inadequate resources. The inspection, initiated by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aimed to assess the quality of medical services and overall hospital management.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the team evaluated the medical facilities, cleanliness, and administrative protocols across various departments. Concerns were raised over two air-conditioners that had not been reported as malfunctioning by the hospital staff. The Special Assistant to the CM ordered immediate repairs and directed that show-cause notices be issued to the responsible officials.
In addition to equipment issues, the inspection team identified a shortage of stretchers and instructed the hospital administration to promptly address this shortfall and repair any damaged equipment. Shoaib Mirza emphasized that any negligence in providing medical care would not be accepted.
