LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Monday honored teachers on World Teachers’ Day, emphasizing their crucial role in shaping students’ knowledge, character, and values.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the chief minister expressed her admiration for teachers in a special message, highlighting the enduring respect and dignity they hold in society. She acknowledged the dedication and commitment of teachers across Punjab, drawing parallels between their influence and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), whom she referred to as the “greatest teacher.”
Chief Minister Sharif stated that a good teacher imparts not only knowledge but also introduces students to manners, moral values, and social traditions, thereby laying the foundation for positive societal change. She further announced the introduction of programs like the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence to promote quality education throughout the province.
Additionally, the chief minister mentioned the integration of artificial intelligence into primary education to equip students with modern knowledge and skills. She noted that teachers are being offered free training in spoken English, information technology, and modern teaching methodologies to enhance their professional capabilities.
