Islamabad: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the two nations. Discussions focused on regional developments and strengthening bilateral relations.

According to Press Information Department: Prime Minister Sharif extended greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, emphasizing the importance of the Pakistan-China All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. The Prime Minister highlighted his recent visit to China and reiterated the commitment to implement agreements made between the two countries’ leaderships for mutual benefit. Topics discussed included the regional situation in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and South Asia.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Syed Tauqir Shah, and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch. Ambassador Jiang expressed China’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and socio-economic development, referring to Pakistan as an “iron brother.”
