China Pledges Comprehensive Support to Pakistan Across Multiple Sectors


Beijing, In a significant affirmation of bilateral ties, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang has committed to supporting Pakistan across various sectors, including economy, trade, and investment. The declaration came during a meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Beijing.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions emphasized the swift implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, which are crucial for the mutual prosperity and development of both nations. Both sides have expressed their intentions to sustain and enhance the momentum of Pakistan-China relations in all cooperative areas, aiming to deepen the “iron-clad” friendship between the two countries.



During the talks, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar addressed the March 26th Shangla attack, expressing condolences for the Chinese workers who lost their lives and vowing zero tolerance towards the perpetrators. Dar praised the ongoing progress of CPEC initiatives in energy and infrastructure and showed optimism about the future benefits of Phase-II in the sectors of industry, agriculture, and mineral development. Enhancements in connectivity through the Khunjerab border crossing and a simplified visa regime were also key topics of discussion.
