Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Monday paid tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed (Nishan-i-Haider) on his 78th martyrdom anniversary, highlighting his contribution to the nation’s defense.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the chief minister acknowledged Captain Sarwar’s courage and bravery, stating that the nation honors his supreme sacrifice. She emphasized that Captain Sarwar’s unparalleled sacrifice in the defense of the motherland would not be forgotten.
The chief minister further noted that Captain Sarwar was the first recipient of the Nishan-i-Haider, awarded for his valor during the war for the liberation of Kashmir.
