Peshawar, A meeting regarding development projects under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur was held yesterday at Chief Minister House Peshawar in which a detailed review of the progress of the ongoing development projects under the District Development Program was reviewed. Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Amjad Ali Khan, Secretary Planning and Development Shahidullah, and officials of the concerned departments attended the meeting.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Chief Minister was given a detailed briefing on the progress so far on the ongoing development projects in various departments under the District Development Program by the concerned authorities. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that timely completion of ongoing development projects is the top priority of the present provincial government so that the fruits of these projects can reach the people without delay. He said that instead of spending money on the construction of new buildings, attention will be focused on providing services and facilities to the public. Concrete measures will be taken for the availability of clean drinking water and other basic facilities.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to start work on the installation of tube wells immediately in the areas where there is a problem of drinking water. He also instructed that work on the supply of solar energy to these tube wells should commence simultaneously, with special care taken to ensure that the tube wells are not installed on privately owned land. He clarified that there will be no compromise on the quality of development projects, and in cases of poor work, action will be taken against the responsible authorities of the concerned department.
