Charsadda District Faces Damage and Injury from Heavy Rains

Charsadda: Following recent heavy rainfall, the Charsadda district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported significant damages, including a collapsed boundary wall and a damaged house, which resulted in one injury. The incidents have prompted a swift response from local authorities to assess damages and initiate compensation.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the events occurred on August 5, 2024. Itbar Khan, a resident of Moza Ghanderi Bala Tangi, suffered the collapse of his boundary wall, while Amir Zada from Moza Koz Behram Dheri Tangi reported substantial damage to his home, which led to his wife sustaining injuries.

The district administration has actively started the compensation process for the affected families, aiming to alleviate the impacts of these incidents. This response is part of broader efforts to address the consequences of severe weather conditions in the region.
