Chaman Launches Major Clean-Up Initiative Under Direct Supervision of DC Captain Raja Athar Abbas

Chaman: In a significant move to enhance urban cleanliness, the Municipal Corporation of Chaman has initiated an extensive city cleaning operation, including the clearing of sewage lines on an emergency basis, following direct orders from DC Captain Raja Athar Abbas.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the clean-up campaign focuses on major areas including Khan Road and involves the opening of all sewage drains. Efforts have already led to the thorough cleaning of other city roads, such as Taj Mir Khan Road, where trash has been removed and disposed of outside city limits. DC Abbas emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness, not just as a civic duty but as a spiritual and moral obligation.

He expressed concerns over the negligence in maintaining urban sanitation and warned that future inspections would be unannounced and might lead to strict actions against any officials found lacking in their duties. He stressed that cleanliness is pivotal for a healthy society and is the first step towards fostering positive societal changes. DC Abbas called for community-wide participation to uplift the city’s hygiene standards, declaring that collective responsibility is essential for fostering a productive and conscientious citizenry.
