Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani underscored the significance of Sufism, arts, and culture in fostering peace and harmony, during a meeting with a delegation from the Sufism, Arts, Culture and Heritage (SACH) Institute. The meeting, held at Parliament House, focused on the Institute’s initiatives aimed at cultural preservation and promoting dialogue and environmental responsibility.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the delegation was led by Peer Syed Mudassir Nazar Shah and included members Daud Sardar, Ashtalfa Syed, Syeda Duaa, Mahrukh Kazmi, and Muhammad Al Rayan. They briefed Chairman Gilani on SACH’s vision and mission, highlighting their efforts to engage the youth in cultural and literary activities. Chairman Gilani praised the Institute’s work, emphasizing the role of Sufism and cultural heritage in promoting values such as love, tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
Chairman Gilani further acknowledged the contribution of institutions like SACH in preserving Pakistan’s heritage and enhancing the country’s international image. The delegation expressed gratitude for the Chairman’s support and reiterated their commitment to advancing Sufism, arts, culture, heritage, and environmental stewardship through collaborative efforts and community engagement.
