Chairman Senate Pays Respects at Algerian Embassy for Former President’s Passing


ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, visited the Algerian Embassy in Islamabad to express condolences over the death of former Algerian President Liamine Zeroual. During his visit, he extended sympathies on behalf of Pakistan’s government and its people.



According to Senate of Pakistan, the Chairman was received by Dr. Brahim Romani, Algeria’s Ambassador to Pakistan. In his remarks, Gilani highlighted the significant role President Zeroual played in strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Algeria, founded on shared ideals and mutual respect. He also recorded his sentiments in the condolence book at the embassy. Misbah Khar, Ambassador to ISC and Advisor to the Chairman Senate, joined Gilani in offering condolences.
