Chairman Senate of Pakistan Discusses Regional Peace with Azerbaijan Parliament Speaker

Islamabad: The Chairman Senate of Pakistan engaged in a telephonic conversation with the Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament on Sunday to address regional developments and mutual interests, emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy as pathways to enduring peace.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the Chairman Senate conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with Azerbaijan following recent drone attacks on its territory. He condemned the attacks as violations of international law and threats to regional stability. The Chairman reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and security concerns, referencing recent conversations between Pakistani and Azerbaijani leaders that underscored this support.

The Chairman highlighted the longstanding partnership between the two nations and stressed that Pakistan remains committed to standing by Azerbaijan. He advocated for dialogue and diplomacy to ease tensions and ensure regional peace, urging all parties to exercise restraint.

Additionally, the Chairman Senate expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for aiding in the evacuation of 113 Pakistani nationals from Iran, facilitated through the Astara border crossing. The Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament thanked Pakistan for its support and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s dedication to their bilateral relations.

Both sides expressed confidence that the strong partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan will continue to foster peace and cooperation in the region.
