Chairman Senate Commends Armed Forces on ‘Ma’raka-e-Haq’ Anniversary


Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has lauded the Armed Forces of Pakistan, paying tribute to the martyrs, the Ghazis, and the nation as a whole on the first anniversary of “Ma’raka-e-Haq.” He emphasized the event’s significance in demonstrating Pakistan’s unity and resolve in defending its sovereignty.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani highlighted Pakistan’s disciplined response to India’s unprovoked aggression, underscoring the country’s professional and decisive actions. He praised the coordination among the Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Army, and Pakistan Navy, noting their effective defense strategies.



Gilani credited the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, alongside Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, for their roles in this achievement. He also acknowledged Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar’s efforts in presenting Pakistan’s stance on the international stage.



Reflecting on “Ma’raka-e-Haq,” Gilani cited the Armed Forces’ professionalism and strategic planning, which resulted in significant adversary losses. He described the event as a testament to national unity and political cohesion, while honoring the sacrifices of the martyrs as a symbol of resilience.



Gilani also commended the Pakistani media for its role in countering hostile propaganda and reinforcing Pakistan’s narrative. He concluded by affirming Pakistan’s commitment to its sovereignty and national security.
