Dera Ghazi Khan: Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi attended a Quran Khwani ceremony for the former Governor of Punjab, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, at the Central Eidgah in Dera Ghazi Khan. The ceremony, which was led by Syed Abul Hassan Gilani, the Sajjada Nashin of the shrine of Hazrat Musa Pak Shaheed, was marked by the participation of several political figures and dignitaries.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the event was attended by former Member Provincial Assembly Syed Ahmad Mujtaba Gilani, Provincial Minister Sher Ali Gorchani, and Advisor to the Chief Minister for Traders Mian Muhammad Naeem Mir, among others. Former Governor Rafiq Ahmad Rajwana, and Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, including Sardar Ammar Owais Leghari, Rana Tanveer Ahmad, and Ahmad Khan Leghari, were also present. The sons of the late Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Sardar Hissamuddin Khosa, Sardar Saifuddin Khosa, and Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan, along with other family members, were in attendance.
During the ceremony, the elder son of the late leader, Sardar Hissamuddin Khan Khosa, was formally appointed as the chief of the tribe through a dastarbandi performed by former Minister Hafiz Iqbal Khan Khakwani and former MNA Sardar Amjad Farooq Khosa. Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani addressed the gathering, paying tribute to Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa’s political contributions and leadership, emphasizing his role in the development of the region. A significant number of locals also participated in the event.
