Central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee to Convene in Islamabad for Moon Sighting

Islamabad: The Central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee is set to meet in Islamabad today to observe the sighting of the Shawwal 1446 Hijri moon, which will determine the start of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

The meeting will be presided over by the Chairman of the committee, Moulana Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad. This gathering is crucial as it marks the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations, contingent upon the moon sighting.

In addition to the central committee’s meeting in Islamabad, zonal Ruet-E-Hilal committees across the country will convene separately at their respective headquarters. These meetings are essential for confirming the moon sighting locally and ensuring that the decision is uniformly agreed upon throughout the nation.

The outcomes of these meetings will be communicated promptly to inform the public of the commencement of Eid-Ul-Fitr festivities. The sighting of the crescent moon signifies an important cultural and religious moment, heralding the end of a month of fasting and spiritual reflection for the Muslim community in Pakistan.
