Lahore, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar organized a ceremony at the Central Police Office in recognition of the services of the officers and personnel with excellent performance during duty, in which the officers and personnel were awarded with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation for their excellent performance. Dr. Usman Anwar while speaking said that safe city projects with modern technology are being started in 03 cities of Punjab, these projects help in crime prevention, identification of criminals, maintenance of law and order and traffic management.
will IG Punjab further said that new driving license centers are being built in various districts of the province including Lahore for the convenience of citizens, 20 percent of the revenue from licensing will be spent on the welfare of the traffic force. IG Punjab further said that the service structure of traffic wardens has been improved, they are making sets for promotion up to DSP rank. While under the Pasban project, they are expanding the scope of Safe City in small districts as well. IG Punjab further said that the scope and network of CIA is being extended to all the districts of the province, till August 14 Shahadai will give the latest computer tabs to the children of the police. IG Punjab directed that the crackdown to eliminate drugs should be accelerated with effective supervision and ensure that this scourge is eradicated from the roots.
During the ceremony, IG Punjab awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to 89 officers and personnel, among the recipients of the awards were Constable to Inspector rank of Faisalabad region and officers and personnel of various field formations. DIGIT Ahsan Yunus, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah and other officers were also present during the ceremony.
